Anderson Gets 4-Game Suspension Monday, August 7th, 2028 For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, San Antonio Calzones of Laredo shortstop Phil Anderson will have to sit out 4 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Calzones of Laredo that Anderson had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Lions game yesterday at Stadium Urbanus. After being ejected, Anderson turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies. Anderson is currently batting .201 with 7 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
