Borealis-Calzones of Laredo Swap: Ine for Burns Monday, July 31st, 2028 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Aurora Borealis and San Antonio Calzones of Laredo finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Aurora's 33-year-old LHP Juan Castro, 26-year-old LF Teruo Ine, 23-year-old LHP Miguel Torres, 18-year-old RHP Roberto Rodríguez and a 1st round draft pick to San Antonio in a swap for 28-year-old RHP Bob Burns and a 2nd round draft pick. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. This season Burns has worked 67.2 innings in 40 relief appearances and picked up 19 saves. He has dished out 79 strikeouts and walked 20 with a 3-5 mark and a 2.79 ERA. |
