Bakersfield Bears, Sandgnats Agree to Trade Monday, July 31st, 2028 BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the Bakersfield Bears and Crystal Lake Sandgnats has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 23-year-old minor league RF Norm Kates, 22-year-old minor league RF Jeremy Craig, a 1st round draft pick and $2,500,000 in cash to Crystal Lake in return for 32-year-old RF Jarrod Ricks, 31-year-old LF Stephen Hooper and a 2nd round draft pick. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it. In his season totals, Hooper has 3 home runs, .260 BA, .384 OBP, 21 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has played in 69 games. |
