Burke Slugs 300th Home Run

At John Deere Stadium Danny Burke smashed his 300th career home run in a game against Kalamazoo today. The 33-year-old catcher had a hand in the Yuma Bulldozers 3-2 victory with 2 home runs and 2 runs batted in. For the day he went 2 hits-3 at-bats.

At the press conference after the game, Burke downplayed his achievement.

"To reach 300 home runs is amazing and something I'll always cherish. I've been fortunate to remain healthy and play at a high level through most of my career."

In his career Burke has hit .260 with 1493 hits, 300 home runs, 935 RBIs and scored 680 runs.
