Shin Seiki Trades Suzuki for Toyama's Thompson Monday, April 24th, 2028 After prolonged negotiations Shin Seiki agreed to ship 24-year-old minor league 2B Shuji Suzuki, 25-year-old RHP Yaichiro Ohayashi and a 5th round draft pick to Toyama for 27-year-old LHP Ken Thompson. The deal is awaiting confirmation from the league office but neither team expects any hang-ups. "It took longer than expected," said one GM, "but we knew that the deal was going to happen." In his career stats Thompson has a record of 28 wins and 16 losses and a 4.01 ERA. He has struck out 219 in 341.1 innings. |
