Retiring Maese May Enter Political Arena Thursday, November 25th, 2027 Shisa starting pitcher Félix Maese announced today that he is retiring from baseball. What he does next is still anyone's guess. The popular Maese has been rumored to be considering a run for political office, namely mayor. "He hasn't told me what his plans are," said Okinawa manager Kijuro Yoshida. "I know he has an interest in politics, but he hasn't tipped his hand yet, either way." Asked whether he thought Maese was qualified to hold public office, "Yoshida replied, "Definitely. I think he'd be a great mayor. He has exactly the kind of leadership skills this city needs." Associates say Maese will make a decision on his future in the next few weeks. |
