Setback for Amsterdam and António Carbezola Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 Lions third baseman António Carbezola has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a broken bone in the elbow. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule, but now doctors will reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Amsterdam told BNN António Carbezola would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 3 months. This year Carbezola has hit 3 home runs and posted a .375 batting average. |
