Pope's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 The Aurora Borealis stopped the Neo-Tokyo Akira today 11-2 and River Pope was able to hit safely again. The Aurora left fielder got 2 hits and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. Pope was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Borealis fans!" River Pope grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this season Pope has hit .319 with 2 home runs, 28 RBIs and and scored 59 times. |
