Frijoles de Dios Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Desperados
|
The Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios picked up a win at Ballpark of Guadelupe, knocking off the Queretaro Desperados, 3-1. On the mound for Guadalupe was right-hander José Pérez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Guadalupe is 5th in the Zona Sur with a record of 40-40.
Juan Manuel hit a run-scoring triple off Diego Quiñones in the bottom of the first, which put the Frijoles de Dios in front, 1-0. In addition to the triple, Manuel had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
Manuel said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
