The Acapulco Zambullidores del Acantilado picked up a win at Zambullidores del Acantilado Ballpark, knocking off the El Ray Vampiros, 7-4. Starting pitcher Jesús Flores was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Flores, now 4-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 2. Félix Concepción locked down his 10th save.

The Vampiros had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Zambullidores del Acantilado going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Marcos Ortíz came to the plate. Ortíz hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from El Ray hurler Roberto Villa. It was Ortíz's 12th double of the year.

"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Flores.

Acapulco is now 21-31. El Ray is 27-25.
