The timely hitting of Francisco Montés helped the Zapopan Torrenas down the Ecatepec Morelos, 9-2. Montés went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Torrenas. Zapopan has now won 8 straight, while the Morelos have lost 8 in a row.

The Torrenas got a big hit from second baseman Fernando Mejía. In the bottom of the eighth, Mejía pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Torrenas ahead, 9-2.
