Mighty Missionaries Need Extra Innings to Top Crocs, 4-2
Fans who congregated at Karasuyama College Grounds were treated to extra-inning drama.

Aoyama Gakuin Mighty Missionaries starter Jessy Bakermans was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Outback State University Crocs, 4-2. Michinaga Noda came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1.

José Alnozo provided a timely hit. The Aoyama Gakuin center fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the 14th inning to put the Mighty Missionaries on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Outback State University manager Tomohiko Tanaka.

Aoyama Gakuin has now won 3 straight, while the Crocs have lost 5 in a row.
