Koalas Deal Typhoon 4-1 Defeat
|
Good production from designated hitter Jay Buckby helped the University of Queensland Koalas topple the Taiwan Tech University Typhoon, 4-1. Buckby was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Koalas. Cam Albertson was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout. The Koalas now have a record of 9-11.
Caspar Hill, the 19-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hill contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put University of Queensland up, 2-0.
