Remuda Suffer 3-2 Setback

The Boise Remuda got a superb performance from pitcher José Ortíz, but the Tacoma Loggers still won the game, 3-2. Ortíz threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Tacoma reliever Ricardo Montoya picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Herb Williams absorbed the loss. Jesús Solís recorded his 12th save for Tacoma.
Marcos Ledezma provided a timely hit. The Tacoma center fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Loggers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"Against this team here, fangs out late in the game, it's nice to beat them," said Tacoma skipper León Rivera.
The 5th-place Loggers raised their record to 21-35.
