Coqui Go Down to Defeat, 6-1
|
Amsterdam Lions pitcher Richard Neely whisked his team past the San Juan Coqui, 6-1. Amsterdam, at 29-26, sits in third place in the Imperial League Trans Atlantic.
Amsterdam relied on the hitting of Sandor Vis to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lions on top, 3-1. For the game, Vis had 1 triple and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Neely.
