Matsuo Leads Frenchies to Win
Good production from designated hitter Shunso Matsuo helped the Quebec City Frenchies topple the Calgary Stampede, 11-6. Matsuo went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Frenchies. Rafael Padilla, the winning pitcher, is now 5-3. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 0. The Frenchies raised their record to 40-25.

The game turned with two out in the top of the sixth when Matsuo, who is tied for 10th in the PCAL in home runs with 14, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Frenchies into the lead, 2-1.
