The Magami Ako beat the Takaoka Shiko, 4-3, in part because of left fielder Sixto Velásquez. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Velásquez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Magami in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Velásquez took a fastball from Ki-chun Ch'oe and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Ako to leap in front, 4-2.
