Monjas del Vuelo Win 4th Straight, Take Down Saguaros, 6-3
|
The Rosarito Monjas del Vuelo topped the Tijuana Saguaros, 6-3, in Baja Cali League action at Ballpark of Rosarito. The game was highlighted by the performance of Rosarito pitcher Bob Simms. Simms went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. Paul Sanders recorded his 18th save for Rosarito.
Rafael Morán, who is tied for 10th in the BCL with a .421 on-base percentage, chipped in for Rosarito with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
