Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Marduk Nerv and the Calexico Reins. Marduk won it, 2-1. Marduk starter Tony Archuleta was in command. Marduk reliever Jack Harris was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Ramón Sánchez took the loss. The Nerv now have a record of 13-18 with the win over Calexico.
Bernard McIntosh was the walk-off hero for Marduk. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nerv shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This joint was rocking," said McIntosh.
