Jaramillo Lifts Bears to 12-0 Triumph
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Getting offensive support from Júlio Jaramillo, the Bakersfield Bears topped the Yuma Arroyos, 12-0. Jaramillo was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for the Bears. Bakersfield pitcher Juan Guerrero got the win, upping his record to 6-13. Mang Sun got the loss.
Bakersfield relied on the hitting of Ernesto Machado to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bears on top, 3-0. For the game, Machado had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
