The Marshall McConaugheys trumped the Houston Shastas, 4-3, at McConaugheys Ballpark. Marshall designated hitter David Miller was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The American Heartland Conference-leading McConaugheys have a record of 32-20.

In the bottom of the seventh, Marshall center fielder Jason Greer hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, McConaugheys.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Greer. "And not try to do too much."
