Old Queens Score Late, Topple Sea Dawgs, 3-1

The East Carolina Sea Dawgs got a sterling performance from pitcher Anthony Wilkerson, but the Rutgers Old Queens still prevailed, 3-1. Wilkerson threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Gilberto Mata earned the save for Rutgers, his 2nd of the year. The third-place Old Queens have won 6 straight.
Rutgers used the timely hitting of Howard Clark to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Old Queens on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It feels good to get this one," Clark told the Rutgers Citizen.
