Chili Peppers Snag 3-2 Win
The UAB Dragons got a superb performance from pitcher Tony Romero, but the UCLA Chili Peppers still won the game, 3-2. Romero threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. UCLA reliever Dan Parker picked up the win to move to 3-1. Jason Hall suffered the loss. The win puts the Chili Peppers at 22-17, while the Dragons drop to 13-26.

Had Dave Wilson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Wilson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Chili Peppers.

"We all want to win," said Wilson. "We all want to do our part."
