The Penn State Pride picked up a win at Penn State Grounds, knocking off the Cincinnati Unifiers, 5-2. On the mound for Penn State was left-hander Tim Hooper, who played a pivotal role in the win. Hooper picked up the win for Penn State, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Tom Morrison nailed down his 17th save.

Penn State grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, José Ruíz delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Pride.

"Good win for us," said Ruíz. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."

The Pride, at 31-9, sit in first place in the Perfect 10 Conference.
