The Villanova Starbursts got a stellar effort from pitcher Eldon Voss, helping Villanova score a win over the visiting East Carolina Sea Dawgs, 3-2. The win makes Villanova 12-11.
The Starbursts got a lift from right fielder Donovan Lewis, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Starbursts on top, 3-0.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Lewis told the Villanova Observer. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
