Battleships Stick Rushmores with 7-3 Loss
|
Bismarck pitcher António Francisco did his part in helping his team beat the Rapid City Rushmores, 7-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Richard Robson, 5-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. At 36-56, the Battleships find themselves in 4th place in the Amber Waves League Big Sky.
Bismarck took a 7-3 lead on Roy Taylor's 5th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Taylor hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rapid City pitcher Adam Opie shaking his head.
Francisco called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
