Late Rally by Borealis Secures 9-7 Win
The Aurora Borealis overcame a fine performance by Neo-Tokyo right fielder Eric Montoya to defeat the Akira, 9-7, at Neo-Tokyo Grounds. Montoya was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Aurora reliever Yellel Twia was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Jack Lynch took the loss. Héctor Gutiérrez finished the game for Aurora and earned his 7th save.

The Aurora triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was José Alemán. In the top of the ninth, the Aurora shortstop hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 9-7 lead.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Alemán told the Aurora Bulletin.

The Borealis now have a mark of 21-16.
