Charron Hits 2 home runs in Akira Win
The bats were silent much of the day at Neo-Tokyo Grounds. But Garry Charron conjured up just enough offense to carry the Akira past the Aurora Borealis, 3-0. Charron went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Sergio Sánchez earned the win for Neo-Tokyo. He lasted 8 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. The save went to Jack Lynch, his 9th this season.

Charron made an early impact for Neo-Tokyo when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the first, put the Akira on top, 2-0.
