Vera, Nassau Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Nassau starter Domingo Vera had a strong outing against the Kingston Suns at Jamaica National Baseball Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Eitoku Asano earned the save, his 12th, for the Vulcans. Nassau is last in the Amber Waves League Intercontinental with a record of 28-35.
Vera allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Vera said after the game.
