The Utrecht Scholars picked up a win at Battleships Ballpark, knocking off the Bismarck Battleships, 6-0. Starting pitcher Paco López was a big reason why. López went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-2. Utrecht, at 30-13, occupies first place in the Amber Waves League Intercontinental.

The Battleships had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Scholars going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Pu-la Au came to the plate. Au hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 fastball from Bismarck hurler António Francisco. It was Au's 10th double of the year.

Au attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
