The skies opened up and the rain fell at Vulcan Field.

Conner Rose was instrumental in his team's 15-9 triumph over the Nampa Moccasins. The second baseman went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Nassau Vulcans. Josuke Matsuda, now 1-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1.

The Vulcans got a lift from left fielder Gregor Angus, who in the bottom of the second stroked a 1-1 slider into left for a 2-run single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Vulcans ahead, 6-4.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Rose.

The loss makes Nampa 13-17.
