Quebec City Frenchies starter Rafael Padilla was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Medicine Hat Drillers, 3-2. Júlio Miranda earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 3-1. At 21-9, Quebec City is in second place in the Pacific Alliance Maple Leaf.

John Reeves was the walk-off hero for Quebec City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Frenchies left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Medicine Hat manager Michael Burton.
