Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Drillers
The Medicine Hat Drillers got a stellar performance from pitcher Tamotsu Nagata, who handcuffed the Quebec City offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Quebec City Ballpark. Nagata went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. Medicine Hat goes to 9-11.

Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Shojiro Miura's at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth was crucial. The Medicine Hat designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
