Seagulls Make It 4 In a Row with 5-3 Triumph Over Omaha
|
The Narragansett Seagulls picked up a win at Cyclones Stadium, knocking off the Omaha Insurers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Sergio Montáñez was a big reason why. Colm Stanbra finished the game for Narragansett and earned his 28th save. The second-place Seagulls have won 4 straight games.
Spencer Matthews, the 25-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Matthews contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Narragansett up, 2-0.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Narragansett manager Iwao Sanu.
