Comyn Brilliant as Codgers Top Arroyos, 3-0
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Palm Springs Codgers and Yuma Arroyos.
The Palm Springs Codgers got a strong performance from pitcher Nathan Comyn, who stymied the Yuma offense en route to a win, 3-0, at Salt Lick Stadium. Timothy O'Slattery picked up the save for Palm Springs, his 2nd of the year.
In his 86-pitch effort, Comyn allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 7.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Comyn. "Successful pitchers do it."
The Arroyos fall to 9-17 and continue their lackluster start in 2039.
