Bokors Fall to Rebels, 7-1
|
Bowling Green Rebels starter George Brown hurled his team past the Port-au-Prince Bokors, 7-1. Brown picked up the win for Bowling Green, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 10-8. The Rebels improved to 46-51.
Bowling Green used the timely hitting of Manuel Miranda to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rebels ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Miranda said.
