Sea Lions Suffer 4-2 Setback
The Monterey Sea Lions got a superb performance from pitcher Mayer Wiegand, but the Delaware Diamonds still won the game, 4-2. Wiegand threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The win belongs to Yi-lin Lu in relief. His record improves to 8-1. Mayer Wiegand took the loss for Monterey. The Diamonds raised their record to 43-50.

José Contreras was the walk-off hero for Delaware. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Diamonds pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Contreras told the Delaware Times.
