Highlanders Down Airborne, 5-3

Inverness and Hampton duked it out and the Highlanders came out victorious.
The Inverness Highlanders defeated the Hampton Airborne, 5-3, in Atlantic Alliance action at Airborne Ballpark. Inverness pitcher Tomás Reyes had a standout performance. Reyes got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Reyes allowed 3 runs. Matthew Paterson earned save number 3 this season.
Inverness used the bat of Wolashe Ushindi to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Reyes called the triumph "a good team win."
The Highlanders now have a mark of 12-18.
