Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Niigata Gigans and Shizuoka Anguirus.

Niigata Gigans starter Yushiro Ito was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Shizuoka Anguirus, 4-2. The win hiked the Niigata record to 24-24.

Niigata used the clutch hitting of Charlie Watts to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Gigans the lead, 2-0. For the game, Watts had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

"I liked his command," said Niigata manager Shigeaki Shiroi. "Yushiro was throwing strikes."
