Zephyrs Subdue Kalamazoo, 3-2
|
The Reno Zephyrs beat the Kalamazoo Badgers, 3-2, in part because of designated hitter Paul Oglethorpe. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Anthony Soame finished the game for Reno and earned his 4th save. Reno now has a record of 11-11.
Oglethorpe had a key at-bat for Reno early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Reno an early 2-0 lead.
Oglethorpe called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
