Led by Hsin Wang, the Glendale Skyelanders defeated the Kyoto Rodan, 4-2. Wang was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Skyelanders. Justin Simms, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Glendale, at 23-21, sits in 4th place in the Rocky Mountain League West.
Vincent Taylor came through for Glendale when he hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a two-strike cutter to right field, staking his team to a 4-2 lead.
Wang attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
