The performance of Han-soo Yi proved critical in helping Sioux Falls beat Lincoln, 7-2. The Lakota left fielder belted 2 home runs. Wen-hua Shui, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held the Emancipation to 2 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The loss drops Lincoln to 2-17.
The Lakota got a big hit from third baseman Qi-chen Zhào. In the bottom of the fifth, Zhào pounded a solo home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Lakota ahead, 4-2.
"We played hard and won," said Yi. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
