Craig Helps Tri-Staters Run Win Streak to 5
The Evansville Tri-Staters stopped the Mansfield Mohicans, 8-6, behind an impressive performance from Jeremy Craig. The former first round draft pick made life miserable for Mansfield pitching. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Luis Salinas, the winner, improved to 14-9. He held Mansfield to 2 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The third-place Tri-Staters now have a 5-game winning streak.

Craig had a big hit for Evansville with one out in the bottom of the seventh. With Evansville leading 5-3, Craig hit a 3-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Tri-Staters up, 8-3.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Pepe Espinosa.
