Tourists Saddle Braggarts with 7-5 Loss
|
The Santo Domingo Tourists racked up a win at Ballpark of Fayetteville, bumping off the Fayetteville Braggarts, 7-5. Kyung-tae Yi, who started for Santo Domingo, pitched effectively for his team. Yi, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Bastiaan Walraven locked down his 1st save.
Luis Bautista hit a run-scoring triple off Thomas Casillas in the top of the sixth, which put the Tourists in front, 2-1. Bautista had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bautista. "And not try to do too much."
Santo Domingo is now 55-65.
