5-2 Loss Extends Akron Losing Streak
|
The Chesapeake Bay Oysters picked up a win at Great Lakes Field, knocking off the Akron Ambers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Keith Dupree was a big reason why. Jorge Gallegos, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 20th save. Akron has now lost 6 in a row.
José Rodríguez, the 33-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodríguez contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Chesapeake Bay up, 3-2.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Chesapeake Bay manager Anastasio López.
