Clifton starter Miguel Torres pitched well against the Santo Domingo Tourists at Estadio Quisqueya. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. Clifton reliever Guillermo López was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Cisco Ortíz took the loss. Greg Smith converted his 2nd save in 3 tries.

Clifton used the clutch hitting of Gashie Uki to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Dons the lead, 5-4. For the game, Uki had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Uki.

With the win, Clifton pushed its record to 49-40.
