Ambers Sting Golden Sands, 3-1
|
The Akron Ambers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Francisco Santana, who kept Aberdeen hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Ambers win at Great Lakes Field. Getting the save was Chris Perado, his 14th. The Ambers move to 24-40 with the win, while the Golden Sands drop to 22-42.
Wilson Seguillo, who is tied for 8th in the AML with a .388 on-base percentage, chipped in for Akron with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"They played a better game than we did," said Aberdeen skipper Yoichibei Suzuki.
