The performance of Takejiro Kawashima proved critical in helping Aberdeen beat Clifton, 4-3. The Golden Sands right fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The save was credited to Peter MacLeish, his 10th. Yes, it was a win for Aberdeen; but their 15-31 record is still nothing to boast about.

Aberdeen took a 4-3 lead on Quentin Hamilton's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hamilton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Clifton pitcher Salvador Fuentes visibly frustrated.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Kawashima. "And not try to do too much."
