The performance of Tom O'Quane proved critical in helping Leeds beat Akron, 10-9. The Locomotives right fielder was 3-5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2. With the loss, Akron falls to 8-16.

Leeds took the lead on O'Quane's 10th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came against Juan Gonzáles in the top of the eighth, made the score 10-9, Leeds.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," O'Quane told the Leeds Gazette.
