The Mansfield Mohicans and Beantown Browns obliged fans looking for a good time.
Mansfield second baseman Joaquín Hernández contributed to his team's 5-4 win over the Beantown Browns. Hernández, who is tied for 3rd in the AML in runs scored with 11, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mohicans. Dylan Stinson earned the win for Mansfield. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1.
In the bottom of the fourth, Mansfield third baseman Melvin Gaskins had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Gaskins stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 2-0, Mansfield. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Hernández said.
The loss drops the Beantown record to a disappointing 5-8.
